Welcome to Austell Primary After School Program. Our goal is to provide a safe, caring environment with a structure that allows for the individual and social growth of our students.
The After School Program is self-supporting and receives no tax money for operating. ASP is a pre-paid program. The fee is $7.00 per day or $35.00 for the week. No child may stay unless a pre-paid fee has been brought or sent to the school. This fee must arrive before noon of the day the child is staying. Payments may be made for specific days or at the beginning of the week.
Check-out desk: The check out desk is located in the lunchroom. Please come to the lunchroom and we will call for your child. The workers will not dismiss children until they receive this call. The procedure is to ensure the safety of the children.
Going Home: We ask that parents make sure that their child knows how they are going home (ASP, bus, car rider, walker). Any changes in the way your child normally goes home must be sent in writing to the classroom teacher. If your child does not have a note, we will send him/her home the usual way.
Please remember if your child is brought back to school by the bus because no one was home or not picked up as a car rider, they will bring them to ASP and your child will be charged for that day and a registration fee fee if it has not been paid already.
Registration: In order for a child to stay in our After School Program, he/she must have both a registration card and signed ASP guidelines form. There is a one time per year, per child registration fee of $10.00.
For your child's safety, it is very important that all information be correct on the ASP registration card. We must have a complete list of names and telephone numbers of people who have permission to pick up your child. If necessary, the name(s) of people who cannot pick up your child should also be listed.
Behavior: The After School Program has a more relaxed environment than the normal day. However, we do have established expectations for behavior.
Late Fees: The Austell Primary After School Program is in operation from school dismissal until 6PM. Late fees are charged for pick-up after 6PM. The cost is $1 per child per minute. We strongly suggest that parents have relatives or friends available to pick up children if parents are not able to arrive by 6PM.
HOURS OF OPERATION ARE FROM SCHOOL DISMISSAL AT 2:40PM UNTIL 6PM. PLEASE BE PREPARED TO SHOW PHOTO ID AT PICK-UP.
